CHANGES TO MY STUDY PROGRAMME
Hi everyone, in this blog I will talk to you about some changes I would make in the Political Science syllabus, a course I am currently studying. But first, it is necessary to point out that this career began to be taught at the University of Chile just three years ago. Therefore, the existence of problems in the curriculum is probable.
Thus, we
noticed with several classmates that Comparative Politics II, which we took in
the third semester, was the same as Comparative Politics I, without going much
deeper into the subject. In addition, that semester was complicated, because
the curriculum included several demanding courses, which meant that we were
full of assignments, each one more complicated than the previous one. But, in
general, the workload of the course is fine, since most of them are group work.
Regarding
the teaching methods, I think they are the right ones, being such a theoretical
career, it is complicated to look for more "practical teaching"
spaces, but, even so, we have tried from the beginning to get into what we will
do later on.
Finally, as
for the infrastructure, it is obvious that it has become too small for all
those who study there, if before, when there was only the career of Public
Administration, it was already said that the building should be renovated
(enlarged), now with two careers a change is urgent for the faculty (institute
actually). At least that's what I know, since I have never been there hahaha.
