English language challenges
Hi everyone, in this last blog I will tell you about my experience with English.
Although English has been taught since
childhood, in my school (for different reasons) I didn't have an English
teacher until I started going to high school. So my first experiences learning
English were very late.
In the end this meant that when I stumbled upon the English course for the first time, it was a lot for me. I didn't even know the alphabet and my teacher was already doing a class entirely in that language, so I never paid attention to her classes. So, since I only studied the minimum to achieve a passing grade, I never had a great knowledge of the language until before I entered the university. Because of the fear of failing English I in college, before starting the first semester I began to study a lot from the basics (like the alphabet hahah). So when I started the English semesters, as I had a good base, I learned a lot.
Now when I usually listen to songs in this language, or watch videos in it (which is where I use English the most), I can understand a lot of what they say (if in basic English, if not at least the general idea if I understand it), noticing that I have really learned in these semesters. But I still lack, my pronunciation and writing is what I need to improve the most, although with the blogs I have been able to improve a little bit in the second one, I need to use it more in other situations and not only in English classes and homework, to learn more.
But, in short, thanks to English classes at university ( although online) I managed to really get to know this language.
PD: I didn't know what image to add, but at least I found one where I'm sleeping in a high school English class hahah (reinforces my point that I learned English in university and not in high school).
