Time travel to the future

Hello everyone, in this post I will touch on a very recurrent topic in science fiction, time travel, specifically to the future.

Perhaps many would like to travel 30 or 20 years into the future, so as to know how your acquaintances or yourself are doing at that moment, but I, perhaps inspired by the series Futurama hahah, would prefer to go 1000 years ahead, enough time for everything I know to change completely.

Then I could know what the future holds for us, if we really have a future, how they saw our cultures, our knowledge and if any of the most discussed questions or issues are already solved. Now, since it is so far in the future, there are two possible options: one is a very bad future, almost post-apocalyptic, where most of today's problems (pollution, international conflicts, etc.) were never solved and led us to almost disappear; and two, that all these problems were solved, leading humanity to a technological and sociocultural level.

So, if I had to decide where to stay, if now in the present or 1000 years in the future, I would decide whether the future is negative or positive, if it were the first one I would obviously prefer to stay in the present, on the other hand, if it were the second one, although it could be complicated because of leaving friends and family behind, I would like to know everything new that there would be in 3021.
